RAD Ballet: Grade 1 (6-7 years)

This class not only prepares students for Royal Academy of Dance (R.A.D.) graded examinations, it is a great way to improve posture physical awareness and fitness for a lifetime. Using a range of sounds and musical styles, the class promotes joy in movement, creative interpretation and performance.

This class develops skills including:
Core stability
Self-expression
Musicality
Confidence
Mental ability

Students will normally take one graded exam per academic year (September – July) but your child can normally join class at any time.

The RAD is one of the world’s most influential dance education organisations. Their exams set standards in classical ballet and they are a global leader in Continuing Professional Development for dance.

All terms are 11 weeks long and also include an end of term demonstration for family to come and applaud your child’s progress.
