RAD Ballet: Grade 2 (7-9 years)

This class not only prepares students for Royal Academy of Dance (R.A.D.) graded examinations, it is a great way to improve posture physical awareness and fitness for a lifetime. Musically inspired exercises and dances promote joy in movement, creative interpretation and performance.

This class develops skills including:

Weight placement
Turnout and line
Artistry and dynamics
Self-expression
Stamina
Discipline
Mental ability
Confidence

Students will normally take one graded exam per academic year (September – July) but your child can normally join class at any time.

RAD Uniform is required (click here for examples).

The RAD is one of the world’s most influential dance education organisations. Their exams set standards in classical ballet and they are a global leader in Continuing Professional Development for dance.

All terms are 11 weeks long and also include an end of term demonstration for family to come and applaud your child’s progress.
