Information for Parents - COVID-19 Proceedure

HOW THE COURSES WILL RUN
How will it work?

Students will be kept in the same group, or ‘bubble’ for the duration of the course and group sizes will be kept to no more than 15 so that we can ensure social distancing.

Each bubble will have their own teachers and separate facilities which will be deep cleaned in between sessions.

At the moment we’re allowed to run these courses in-person. However if there is a change to local lockdown rules or government guidance that would mean this isn’t possible then we will offer the course online with the same small group and live interactive teaching and refund you for the on-site part of the course fee.

What will they do?
The teaching will be exactly the same as a ‘normal’ holiday course! They’ll learn dance routines and drama from experienced professionals across the week with games breaks built in so that there is plenty of time to socialise and let off steam.
Unfortunately the government has asked providers to avoid group singing.

We won’t be able to hold an end of week performance but we can share a video recording of their final rehearsal and we encourage everyone to show off their hard work to you when they get home.

FAQs
I’m on a low income and can’t afford a space
We recognise that many more families are experiencing hardship because of coronavirus so we have increased the proportion of free bursary places available and expanded our criteria so that more people than ever are eligible!

You can apply for a bursary space and see our eligibility criteria here:

My child wants to be in the same group as their friend

Each session will be kept together for the week so if you are booking for the same slot then they will be together.  For example if you are booking your child in for a morning, they will be in the same group as everyone else that has also booked the morning session for that course.

Can I mix and match sessions?
You will need to pick either a morning, afternoon session or full day session for the whole week, this is because we will be grouping students in small protective ‘bubbles’ to minimise cross-contact.

Why does it cost more?
Unfortunately our costs are the same but are now spread between a much smaller number of students because of the safety measures we need to put in place.

Closure of courses due to COVID-19 infection and need to self-isolate:

If a student has been asked to self-isolate or they or a member of their household shows symptoms of COVID-19 when they are due to attend the course, they will not be able to attend. In the event of a student experiencing COVID-19 symptoms part-way through the course, their bubble will immediately be removed from on-site activities and teaching will be transferred online. You will receive a partial refund for the onsite part of the course fee for those remaining days.

In the event of a student testing positive for COVID-19 within 14 days of taking part in our courses, you must notify the office immediately and include our organisation within your track and trace submission.
