Community Productions
These theatre projects are led by professional practitioners created with, by and for the local community with the highest quality direction and production facilitators. They are often inter-generational and are produced with often very experienced local volunteers working in all areas of the production, including sound, lighting and costume, as well as those less experienced training with us.
There is always a strong creative input contributed by the student’s themselves in the pieces they perform. From the debating and deciding initial themes, ideas and music, right through to developing the characters and sections of choreography, the young people performing have very much made this piece their own. As such, working towards these evens also enhance many of the student’s “soft skills” such as team work, leadership and listening.
” It took me a year to get to Montage and I’ve gained so much in these last few weeks. I really enjoyed doing the show. Thanks for your positive energy and support. “
