" I would like to thank you for giving Jen such a good time over
the last year. She has thoroughly enjoyed all of her classes, and
even after a tiring week at school, and exhausting Street Jazz
class and a late night on Friday night, she still needs no persuasion
to get out of bed on a Saturday morning. I am full of praise for
the enthusiasm, inspiration and organisation of the group, and
have recommended Montage to many friends. "

Explore your acting
potential in the process of creating a piece
of theatre from rehearsal to performance. This company is committed
to producing excellent theatre, presenting plays specially written
and adapted for young people. Those joining will take part in special
performance platforms in the spring and summer terms.
The company goes from strength to strength.
As part of last year’s Youth Theatre programme, the students performed John Godber’s ‘Teechers’ at the Albany Theatre, Deptford and at the Telegraph Hill Festival in March at Crossways Academy. It is important that these young people learn a range of skills so the course also included drama workshops, live and recorded digital art work and a video. Professional artists lead drama workshops specifically developing character, voice production, movement and devised writing around the play which the students benefited from enormously.
The performance was watched by an audience including young people from local schools. A video documentary of the whole process was also made which included interviews from the students throughout as well as before and after the performance.
A blog site was also created for the youth theatre company so that they can exchange ideas and write about their experiences.

“Just wanted to say how much my gals had enjoyed the summer school, and are looking forward to next year! We really enjoyed their show and were amazed by the work that had been done in such a short space of time.
They went off this morning to playscheme rather despondant, as they wished they could have attended "all summer" and playscheme is now " boring"!”
