Script-reading @ Brockley Jack

Based on August Wilson’s, ‘The Piano Lesson’, a drama masterclass workshop with a script-in-hand reading on the final day to an invited audience of family and friends.

The play: The Piano Lesson earned August Wilson his second Pulitzer Prize following the success of Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom in 1984. First performed in 1987, The Piano Lesson concerns the struggle of two siblings over a precious family heirloom, a piano carved with images of their African ancestors and crafted their enslaved grandfather.

The sharing: Script in hand so no line learning necessary
