If you have always wanted to dance or dreamed of dancing, these courses were created just for you! We put great efforts into providing the right teachers, curriculum and atmosphere, for the new dancer first coming to learn how to dance or for those who want to brush off the cobwebs.
Want to get fit and have fun in the process? Feeling stressed from work? Tired of the same old boring workout routine? Looking for a way to improve your fitness level and have a blast at the same time? Then look no further!
DANCE TO GET FIT
Dance is the way to go! It is relatively low impact, depending on the type of dance you do and the level you’re at; it burns those calories and carbs right up; and best of all you’re having so much fun you don’t even realize it’s exercise! No matter what your physical ability, age, or body type, in dance there is truly something for everyone.
Dance is not only good for the body, but the mind as well. Exercise creates endorphins that make you feel happier and more relaxed, and is a great stress reliever for those days that just seem overpowering.
Courses for adults are aimed at all ages and abilities, from those who have never stepped into a class before to those who have studied to an intermediate level. We have students from twenties to eighties in a range of courses – so there is no excuse!
PERFORMING
Most of the courses involve performing once the group feels ready and participants are involved on every level as each group decides together with their teacher when they are ready to perform, although this would be expected at some point in the training. Shows range from informal, small performances to family and friends to full-blown shows at Lewisham People’s Day and other public events.
Don’t be shy – just go for it! What a lovely way to meet new people and socialise. Go on – give it a go.
