Liz Chambers

Drama Teacher: Tuesday ES Drama and Friday Drama 2 and 3

Liz Chambers discovered her love of drama at the age of 4 whilst taking drama lessons at the Tricycle Theatre in North London.  She trained at The University of Glamorgan where she studied Theatre, Media & Drama. She has worked for a variety of touring theatre companies including the Bristol Travelling theatre company and has performed at the Bristol Old Vic. Shows include the Libertine at the South London Theatre, Hurricane productions tour of Frosty The snowman, Ugly Theatre Company’s production of Being and Nothingness and Othello.

After working as a professional actress for twelve years, Liz trained as a teacher after having her son. Whilst bringing up her child, Liz realised how beneficial performing arts skills can be in the development of confidence, imagination and creativity in young children. Since qualifying she has worked at City of Westminster College, Stages UK and Camberwell Choir School as a music and drama teacher.

She joined MTA in February 2011.
