Summer Successes…

Montage at Sadler’s Wells!
A huge congratulations to our Friday Street Jazz group who were selected to perform in London Dance Network’s ROAR event at Sadler’s Wells Theatre along with other London-wide dance organisations.  The night was fantastic and our dancers, aged 12
to 15 years were a joy to watch in such a prestigious theatre.
Well done!

Montage’s Second Festival of Youth and Student Drama
Montage’s Youth Theatre Company presented an extract from Teechers by John Godber in the Telegraph Hill Festival at
Crossways Academy in March. Other schools who took part included Deptford Green, Crofton Park, Crossways and groups from the Telegraph Hill Centre.

Montage’s annual ‘My Turn’ event
At the end of the spring term, students, staff, parents and friends watched a medley of dances, songs and sketches which students aged 6 – 16 years had created and performed themselves.
It was a wonderful morning of work, showcasing the talent and commitment of our own young choreographers and writers of song and dance. Fantastic!

Fundraising

Could you set up a fundraising committee with parents for Montage?  If you have any ideas (small or big) for fundraising and/or organising events or would like to offer any skills to the company, Montage would be very grateful to hear from you.

If you value our work, we need support to keep the opportunities
we wish to offer running. As a charity, we apply for funding from government grants and trusts so we can provide the best teaching and run the wonderful classes, courses and performance events that we do.  But we also rely on the generosity of volunteers as class assistants and running stalls etc. The company can always use help with marketing, administration, IT – and of course, FUNDRAISING! So we would welcome any suggestions from parents – do just give us a call or email us.

Montage @ Crossways

Montage’s street dance programme for young adults aged 16 – 23 years with Carla Van Trimben at Crossways Academy in Brockley has been very successful this year and will continue from September.  Crossways is a sixth form college on Sprules Road in Telegraph Hill, Brockley SE4 with beautiful studios and a main hall with raked seating – perfect to show our performer’s work to family and friends.

Note from the technical department, we are still phasing out this homepage as a source for news which will be shifted over
to the 'news & info' page which is a montage blog and can
also be found here..
